Anxiety

Anxiety often shows up when something within us is out of alignment—

Here, we don’t try to silence anxiety. We get curious about what it’s trying to tell us.
Together, we slow down, listen gently, and begin to reconnect with what’s underneath.

What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is a natural response to stress, uncertainty, or internal conflict.
It can manifest as restlessness, overthinking, irritability, or physical symptoms like muscle tension, shallow breathing, difficulty sleeping, and more.

It’s often a messenger—a protective part trying to keep you safe, a nervous system that hasn’t yet had the chance to settle, or a signal that something in your life is misaligned.

Common roots of anxiety may include:

  • Living in disconnection from your values or deeper needs

  • Internal conflict between parts (e.g., the achiever and the part that longs for rest)

  • A nervous system stuck in mobilization or hypervigilance

  • Residual effects of past experiences that haven’t yet been fully processed

In this space, we don’t rush to fix or silence anxiety.
We turn toward it with curiosity and care—inviting deeper understanding, nervous system regulation, and a path back into alignment.

How I Support This Exploration:

Anxiety work is tender and layered. We move at your pace, guided by presence, attunement, and trust in your inner capacity to heal.

Modalities that may support our work together include:

  • Parts work, to identify and tend to the internal conflicts and protective roles contributing to anxiety

  • Polyvagal-informed care, to support your nervous system in moving from activation into connection

  • Somatic practices, to rebuild trust in the body and cultivate grounded, embodied safety

  • Mindful inquiry, to deepen self-awareness and explore what your anxiety may be communicating

  • EMDR therapy, when appropriate, to process earlier experiences that may underlie present-day patterns

These approaches are invitations, offered gently and collaboratively to support you in living with greater clarity, alignment, and ease in your own body.
